Tiger's eye contains embedded asbestos fibers. Are these fibers a health hazard if you use a yoni egg and are there dangers for the people who mine and process the stones?

After much consideration, I have decided not to purchase Tiger Eye products again. A confirmatory conversation with my gemologist is decisive. I will have these products in stock while supplies last, because I think it would be a shame to throw them away and because there is no harm in using the processed egg. Tiger's eye contains fibers of Crocidolite (blue asbestos). Although asbestos sounds dangerous (especially for intimate use), it is not harmful for use as a yoni egg. The small amount of asbestos fibers are enclosed and bound in glass and are not easily released. An egg that has already been processed does not release fibers, and any harmful effects due to absorption through mucous membranes or, for example, oral ingestion have not been demonstrated. Harm specifically concerns absorption of fibers through the lungs.

However; the problem I have with these products is that these fibers are released during mining and processing (grinding and drilling) of the stones, and it is therefore potentially dangerous to make these products.

I do not have sufficient contact and communication to be able to determine with certainty and confidence whether my suppliers adequately protect their employees against exposure to these fibers, and (knowing this) it does not feel good to me that such products are processed at all. I certainly do not want to contribute to a possible negative health risk for the employees of my suppliers, but also for the environment.

If you think the same as I do, I would like to warn you when purchasing tiger's eye (and variants such as tiger's eye and falcon's eye).
